All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 27 Feb 2002 BILL ALTIZER KINGFISHER ­ A graveside service for Bill Altizer, 74, will be 2 p.m. today in Bird Creek Cemetery at Big 4. David Krepel, pastor, will officiate. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service. He was born April 4, 1927, in Calumet to Eugene and Lucy Altizer and died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher. He attended Big 4 School and served in the Army from 1945 to 1947. He was with the 60th Infantry in Kornwestheil, Germany, and received the World War II Victory Medal. He farmed in the Big 4 area for 47 years. On March 3, 1972, he married Birchie French Jones at Oklahoma City. Surviving are his wife, Birchie of the Home; three sons, Louis Jones of Kingfisher, Harold Jones of Oklahoma City and Jerry Jones of Mounds; one daughter, Neva Todd of Kingfisher; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
