Bowles Baker Services: Thurs., May 15, 10 a.m. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2003, at 10 a.m., at Wasco Memorial Park for Eva E. Bowles Baker, age 89 of Wasco, who passed away on May 12 in Bakersfield. Pastor Ron Fleming of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate and interment will follow. Eva Bowles Baker was born August 13, 1913 in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Maria Vogt. She came to California in 1942. She was co-owner of Town House Restaurant and Catering from 1958 to the late 70s. She was the founder of the Senior Sack Program and baked cinnamon rolls for the rose festival and many other occasions. She was known for her capacity to love, laugh and joke. Eva is survived by her sons, Nick Bowles and wife, Barbara of Tranquility and Steve Bowles and wife, Sally of Bakersfield; daughters, Linnie Wright and husband, Ronald of Wasco and Patricia Murchek and husband, Milan of Arizona; 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and several great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters; sons, Delbert, Kenneth, George and Cecil Bowles; and 3 husbands, Seth Bowles, Jack Rogers and John Baker.
