All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Evergreen Cemetery--Jasper TX BOTTS, LEO WAYNE "PAPPY" Graveside services for Leo Wayne "Pappy" Botts, 86 of Jasper, will be Thursday, February 13, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper. Mr. Botts died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at his residence in Jasper. A native of Garber, Oklahoma and former resident of Newton, he was a longtime resident of Jasper. He was a graduate of Garber High school where he drove his own school bus and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he played football. He began working construction then became superintendent with Foster Wheeler Corp. & Crest, Inc. until his retirement. He built refineries in seven different countries. He loved in addition to his family, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Survivors include one son; Doug Botts of Jasper; one daughter, Mary Bray and husband Guy James of Jasper; sister-in-law Doris Botts of Enid, Oklahoma; three sisters, Irline Nutting of Lodi, California, Ophia Walls of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Gladys Gozzarino of Santa Rose, California; seven grandchildren and a special friend and care giver for seven years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Lakes Area Hospice at 254 Ethel Street, Jasper, TX 75951.
