(Mae) DAVIS Jan. 1979 Funeral for Mrs. Albert H. (Mae) DAVIS, 80, 416 S. Pierce, who died early Sunday in a local hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the HENNINGER-ALLEN Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lloyd H. LAMBERT officiating. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Mrs. DAVIS was born and raised in the Pond Creek area. Following her graduation from Central State University at Edmond, she taught school west of Pond Creek. The former Ida Mae GUERNSEY, she married Albert H. DAVIS May 18, 1920 at Medford. They lived in the Pond Creek area where they farmed until 1953 at which time they moved to Enid. The couple retired from farming in 1956. While living in the Pond Creek area she was superintendent of the children's department at Pond Creek Methodist Church. Mrs. DAVIS was active in the Central Christian Church, Enid, where she was a member of CWF and Friday Friends Group. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ralph J. (Luella) BAKER, north of Enid, and Mrs. Dorthy WALTERS, San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd GUERNSEY, Billings. She was preceded in death by two brothers and her husband, Albert, on May 27, 1968. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church with the funeral home serving as custodian.
