FOOTE (PHOTO) ALVA ­ The funeral for George Victor Foote, 63, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Alva Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dave Imming, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel. He was born March 16, 938, in Omaha, Neb., to Margaret Sloma and Loren Foote and died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Alva Share Medical Center. He attended school in Omaha and in 1954 enlisted into the Navy, serving on an aircraft carrier in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. On July 26, 1958, he married Sandra Gay Bouziden in Omaha where they lived. He worked as parts manager for NAPA. In 1966, they moved to Alva. He worked for Double B. Cattle Co., where he later became a partner in Bouziden and Foote Cattle Co. He was actively involved in farming and cattle business until 1998 when they opened Foote Farm Supply Store, which he operated until his death. He was a member of Alva Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alva Elks and Moose Lodges and was an honorary member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Surviving are his wife, Sandy of the home; one daughter, Pam Dixon of Stigler; four sons, George Jr. of Guymon, Chris of Clovis, N.M., Tim of Texico, N.M., and Tom of Alva; two brothers, Robert of Beaverton, Ore., and Jerry of Folsom, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
