All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 24 Feb 2002 GENIVIE FRAZER ALVA ­ The funeral for Genivie Irons Frazer, 90, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Wharton Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dave Keller will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. She was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Flour Bluff, Texas, to Myrtle M. Byram and James G. Irons and died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at The Methodist Nursing Home of Enid. She attended college in Alva and earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. On Nov. 26, 1936, she married Everett Frazer. She worked during World War II at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., and taught school for 37 years in Woods County. Her first teaching assignment was west of Aline and in 1977, after many years of teaching elementary at Waynoka, she retired. She was a member of First united Methodist Church. The last seven years, she spent at The Methodist Home of Enid. Surviving are one son, Lou of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Ester Ayers of Woodward; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son and one granddaughter.
