Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Franks was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Enid, Okla., to Eleene and Paul Franks Sr. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Paul moved from Enid, Okla., to the Fort Worth area in 1949. He retired after 20 years' service with the Fort Worth ISD and was a member of VFW Post 2137. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pauline O'Neal and Mary Frances Blair. Survivors: Wife of 62 1/2 years, Marijo Franks; daughter, Shirley Ailes; grandchildren, Gayle Heath and husband, Buddy, Sherlyn Rodgers and husband, Randy, Robert Broom, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, Paula Taylor and husband, Darren, and Sandie Powell and husband, Bernie; great- grandchildren, Jeff, Jason and Jacob Heath, Dennis, Justin and Brandi Rodgers, Ashley Weaver, April, Amber, Brandi and Michael Broom, Dylan and Jamie Taylor, Summer Morrow and Megan and Morgan Powell; great- great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Jason Heath Jr., Seth, Shawn and Shane Broom, Adam Lee and Haley Graham; brother-in-law, Ernest O'Neal; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
