Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Heart Cemetery with the Rev. David "Butch" Hearon officiating. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mrs. Garton was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Garber, Okla. She married Gene W. Garton on March 8, 1942, in Beaver, Okla. Survivors include a brother, Jack Payne of Amarillo; and seven sisters, Christine Kershman of Plano, Frances Warden of Hereford, Helen Green of Stewart, Miss., Alice Powell of Dalhart, and Lois Pace, Mary Lou Ivy and Jessie Casida, all of Amarillo.
