All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 06 Sep 2005 Ruby Christene Hoepfner EUFAULA -- Graveside service for Ruby Christene Hoepfner, 93, Eufaula, wil be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spring Hill Cemetery, Cooperton. Mrs. Hoepfner died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at a Eufaula nursing home. Arrangements are by Hunn, Black and Merritt Funeral Home, Eufaula. She was born Sept. 1, 1912, to John and Stella Blanch Derrick Smith. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1930. She married Lowell Raymond Hoepfner on July 3, 1933, in Enid. They made their home in Cooperton for many years. She helped her husband farm and ranch and fixed all the meals during harvest. She was an involved member of the Cooperton Christian Church and at Eufaula. She also served in the Home Research Club of Cooperton. She won a Community Service Award from Wal-Mart for making a sandy beach at Eufaula Lake and maintaining it for years. Survivors include a son, Mike Hoepfner and his wife, Donna, Eufaula; and two grandsons: Dan Hoepfner and Rocky Hoepfner, both of Eufaula.
