Hornsby-Haxby of Roseburg, formerly of Eugene, who died March 26 of age-related causes. She was 88. Hornsby-Hax-by was born Nov. 29,1915, in Enid, Okla., to Michael and Mary Simmons Keating. She graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1933. She married Oliver H. Hornsby in Monroe on Nov. 27, 1938. He died Jan. 13, 1975. She married Robert Haxby in Eugene on June 15, 1977. He died Oct. 15, 1997. She lived in Aberdeen, Wash., until 1947. Hornsby-Haxby lived in Eugene from 1947 to 2002 when she moved to Roseburg. Hornsby-Haxby worked in the accounting department at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling, reading and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile and Altrusa. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Hornsby of Roseburg and James Hornsby of Eugene; two brothers, George and Michael Keating, both of Eugene; and four grandchildren. Tuesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Rest-Havel Memorial Park in Eugene.
