Aaron Veach officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park's Magnolia Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Christian Church, 1440 S. Oakdale, Medford, OR 97501. Mrs. Hunter, 89, of Talent, died Thursday (Feb. 14, 2002) at her home. She was born Nov. 26, 1912, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of William and Harriet Bates. On Oct. 18, 1929, in Medford, she married Clarence John Hunter, who died in 1980. She was a homemaker and lived in the valley for 77 years. She enjoyed gardening, music, nature and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Rogue Valley Christian Church, the Phoenix Grange and the Phoenix Garden Club. Survivors include a son, Robert, Talent; three daughters, Carole Chapman, Ashland, Virginia Hausotter, Roseburg, and Joyce Morse, San Bruno, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
