JACO FAIRVIEW ­ A memorial service for Opal Violet Jaco, 83, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Nazarene Church at Cleo Springs. The Rev. Bobby Howard will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 14, 1918, in Vici to J.B. and Lydia Bowman Heffron and died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Fairview Hospital. As a child, she traveled with her parents, settling in Cleo Springs, where she graduated from high school. She married Meryl Sears outside of Helena. The couple lived in Cleo Springs before moving to Enid in 1947. She was a beautician. In 1948, she married Ted Feil in Enid. She worked at Montgomery Ward in 1953. In 1955 she began working for Enid Police Department as a meter maid and later as a policewoman until 1963. She then worked for the Enid Water Department until 1967. She married Leroy Jaco in 1965 at Guthrie. They lived at various places before moving to Cleo Springs. She moved to Fairview Fellowship Home in 1991. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Enid and attended Nazarene Church in Cleo Springs. Surviving are one son, Harold Sears, Sr. of Cleo Springs; one daughter, Teddy Crump of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepsons, Gary Feil of Ponca City and Loal Feil of Owasso; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Jaco, one daughter, one sister and four brothers. ============== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 28 Feb 2002 OPAL V.
