All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 24 Feb 2002 ELIZABETH JOHNSON (PHOTO) Elizabeth Libby Russell Johnson, 85, of Garber, Oklahoma was the daughter of William Stanley and Ida (Gandy) Wood. Her mother Ida died when she was only four years old. Her father and stepmother Ruby Hodge Wood raised her. She was born July 27, 1916 in Guymon, Oklahoma and died Thursday, February 21, 2002 at Bass Integris Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at the First Christian Church in Garber, Oklahoma with the Rev. Harold Shore officiating. Interment will follow in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of Dugger funeral Home. She married Walter “Jiggs” Russell on July 1, 1935 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Christian church in Garber and enjoyed spending her winters in Chimney Park where she has many friends. She is survived by one son, Ron Russell and his wife Teresa of Drummond, Oklahoma; one daughter, Judith Patak and her husband Charles of Garber, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Devon Clark of Boise, Idaho, Jay Russell of Hitchcock, Oklahoma, Brandon McCahem of Drummond, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Adele Laing of Newton, Kansas, Amber Cutting of Garber, Oklahoma; two great grandsons, Joshua Clark of Boise, Idaho, Braylin Russell of Enid, Oklahoma; two great granddaughters, Mallory Clark of Boise, Idaho, April Laing of Newton, Kansas; three brothers, Gen and Paul Wood both of Perry, Oklahoma, Joe Wood of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Nita Kempka of Perry, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, stepmother, and two sisters, Margaret Wilcox of Perry, Oklahoma and Nell Sosbee of Cushing, Oklahoma.
