KERSHNER, 70 year old retired employee of Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co., will be at 10 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the the U.S. National Cemetery at Ft. Gibson, under the direction of Petering's Funeral Home, Muskogee. KERSHNER, began his employment with the OG&E in 1918 as a meter reader and worked in OK City, Muskogee and Sapulpa before being transferred to Enid in 1930, as a northern division auditor. KERSHNER, served as president of the Enid Lions Club from 1946-47 and as president of the Enid Hi-12 Club. He had served as chapter chairman of the Garfield County Red Cross two terms and was a member of the board of directors of the Enid Community Chest for several years. KERSHNER was active in Boy Scout work for 21 years and had been awarded the Silver Beaver award December 17, 1945. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City and the American legion Post No. 15, the Enid Masonic Lodge No. 80 AF&AM; Scottish Rite of Oklahoma, the Guthrie Consistory and the OG&E Trailblazers Club. KERSHNER was transferred from Enid to Oklahoma City office in 1953, remaining there until his retirement in 1965. Survivors include his wife Annie R. PITTMAN KERSHNER of the home; a son, Robert PITTMAN of Garland, Tex., a daughter, Mrs. J.L. (Betty Luticia) LEGETTE of Woodland Hills, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Vivian RICHARDS and a brother, Frederick V., both of Tulsa; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
