All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 22 Feb 2002 ZELLA FAYE LINGO (PHOTO) Funeral services for Zella Faye Lingo, 81, will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at the United Church of Lahoma. The Reverends Don Smith and Keith Cobb will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Zella Faye was born April 10, 1920 east of Hillsdale to John Alexander and Ida Cox Dowers and passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. Zella Faye was a graduate of Hillsdale High School, class of 1939, and attended Wichita State University. After high school she worked in Wichita at the Boeing Aircraft Company as a wiring inspector on the B-29 bomber. On June 23, 1946 she married Clarence Lingo east of Hillsdale. T hey farmed and ranched in the Hillsdale and Lahoma area until they retired in 1988 in Lahoma. Zella Faye was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and devout Christian. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to garden, do needlepoint, and cook. Her fun loving spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all. She was a member of the United Church of Lahoma and served in various officer roles in the Women’s Circle. She worked with the Major County Election Board for many years. Zella Faye was survived by her husband, Clarence of the home; one daughter Trena Gay, her husband, Lou Wheatcraft of Houston, and their son Aaron; one son, Dean and his wife, Diane of Meno, and their children T.J. Kelly, and Shelea, her husband Chris and son Caleb. Zella Faye was preceded in death by an infant son, one sister and four brothers. Memorials may be made through Henninger-Allen Funeral Home to the United Church of Lahoma in Zella Faye’s name.
