His parents, Elsworth and Hazel Nutt, moved to Bakersfield when he was 6 months old. He grew up in Bakersfield and as a young man joined the Army in 1941. As a Captain in the Army he served his country from 1941 to 1945 in the South Pacific, Phillippines and New Guinea. After being honorably discharged, he began working for Standard Oil Company. He retired from Standard Oil Company in 1972 after 29 years. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He loved golfing, bowling, fishing, and hunting before he became blind. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eugenia Jeanne Nutt; son, Robert Nutt; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Wracher; grandsons, Jeff and Andrew Wracher; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Beverly Nutt; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
