The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ************************************************************************ Guy Norman, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Monroe Norman, was born Aug 21,1888 near Springfield, Mo. and died near Fairmont, OK. May 17, 1935, 46 yrs., 8 months and 25 days. On Feb 27, 1912 at Crescent he was united in marriage to Charity Garrison. To this union 10 children were born. The bereved members of his family are his wife and 8 children. Mrs. Marie Polwort of Enid, Leroy, Delia Pearl, Dorothy, Betty, John Elsworth, Norma Ruth and Thomas Monroe, all of the home, 2 children preceding him in death. He is also survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Ed Tindell of Los Angeles, Mrs. Charles Johnson of Tonkawa, Mrs. Lawrence Bennett of Arkansas City; 4 brothers Tom Norman of Springfield, Mo., George Norman and Leroy Norman of Guthrie and Lester Norman of Los Angeles, Calif. Other relatives and many friends survive. His boyhood days were spent in Missouri, moving to OK in 1907 and coming to Douglas in 1913. He has called this his home since that time. One of the tributes of friends in that Mr. Norman was a man who spoke no evil of his fellowman.. He was a home loving man and the pride and joy of his life was centered in his family. He never refused to lend a helping hand in time of need and in his quiet and unassuming manner he did his share without complaining and did not ask for honors, his reward being the satisfaction of giving the best DOUGLAS UNION CEMETERY NORMAN - J.
