PALMER Norman ­ a GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR Chester Ja’acov Palmer, 64, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Good Hope Cemetery, near Helena. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. He was born March 3, 1937, in Helena to Helen Gibson and Cecil K. Palmer and died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at his home in Norman. He graduated from Helena High School, then served in the navy from 1956 to 1959. He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva, with a master’s degree in history. He retired from James Crabtree Correctional Center, Helena, after 15 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Carol of Norman; four sons, Joseph, Gil of Israel, Jonathan and Mark; three daughters, Capt. Ramit Ring of Texas, and Tal and Liad; three brothers, Kenneth of Ringwood, Jerry and Jim, both of Helena; and two granddaughters.
