All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Virginia Walker Palmer HEREFORD - Virginia Walker Palmer, 92, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Enid Cemetery in Enid, Okla., with Harold Beltz Jr. of the Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home of Hereford and Brown Funeral Home of Enid. Mrs. Palmer was born in Enid. During World War II, she worked at Boeing Aircraft. In 1965, she retired as a teacher, having taught in O*, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming and California. She last taught at the Military Academy in California. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1966 from California. She was a member of First Christian Church. Her first marriage was to Roy Walker in 1932 at Taloga, Okla. He died in 1962. She then married Homer Palmer in 1980 at Las Vegas. He died in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Dan Walker of Hereford and Jim Walker of Ridgecrest, Calif.; a brother, Wilson Jomnes of Clinton, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday morning at Brown Funeral Home.
