All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 22 Feb 2002 JESSIE ELLEN MOTLEY PARSONS A graveside service for Jessie Ellen Motley Parsons, age 88, of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2002 in the Garden of Prayer of Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Don Tines will officiate. Arrangements are with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born January 16, 1914 in Colony, Oklahoma to Harold T. and Nellie H. Chance Motley and died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. Jessie’s father died when she was at the age of 4. She later attended the Weatherford school system. In 1929 after her mother remarried, she moved with her mother, step-father and siblings to Enid. On April 2, 1935 Jessie married William J. Parsons in Arapaho, Oklahoma of Custer County. She became a good homemaker, great cook and very dedicated to her family. Jessie is survived by hr husband, William Parsons of the home; a son, Victor Kenneth Parsons of Bloomfield, New Mexico; two grandsons, Curtis Parsons and Clay Parsons, both of Enid; a granddaughter, Ellen Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO; and 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
