All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Rikli, Carol K. Carol K. Rikli Age 85, a 20 year resident of Marin County, died of a heart attack on Saturday, December 16th, 2006 where he resided with Clarice, his wife of 61 years. Born in Drummond, OK, finishing his BA and MA at Phillips University and serving in WW II, Carol found his way north to Kenosha, WI, to live and work for 30 years (1955-1985) as the Executive Director of Kenosha's CYC, now the Boys & Girls Club. Having been an avid athlete all his life, barnstorming across the US in the '30s and early '40s with the Oklahoma Cowboys fast- pitch softball team, he brought with him his love of sports, and through the CYC started what grew into a tapestry of services for youth and adults. Nine years on the Kenosha School Board, partner to the creation of the Industrial Chaplaincy program, member of the National Council of Churches and People-To-People International, and participant in the 1968 March on Washington with former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, Ralph Abernathy, and Chuck Tyler of Racine, Carol's involvement spanned topics that touched the hearts and minds of many. His loving family, wife Clarice, son and daughter-in-law Steve and Joanne, daughter Linda, and grandson Bryan, and all residents of the San Francisco Bay Area, will remember him with much pride, laughter, and heart-felt gratitude for the time they had together. Friends and family will gather on January 20th for a Memorial Service and lunch in Novato, CA, at the Los Robles Mobile Home Park, Club House, 100 Roblar Drive, at Noon. All welcome. Any memorial donations you wish to share should be directed to the CYC Youth Sports program at 1715, 52nd Street, Kenosha, WI 53140.
