All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Enid Cemetery--Enid OK Charles Ringwald Charles Leonard Ringwald, 68, Enid, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at his home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Enid Cemetery, officiated by Michael Frisbee, pastor at the Oakwood Christian Church. Military rites will be conducted by the D.A.V. Chapter 85. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Ringwald was born June 30, 1933, in rural Perkins to Leslie Lee and Frances Naomi (Myrick) Ringwald. He attended school at Ripley, then served in the Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955 in the Korean War. He then worked in the oil fields. On April 18, 1968, he married Leticia Villarosa in Wellington, Kan. He lived in many places in Oklahoma, including 10 years in Enid and then 20 years in Kingfisher before moving back to Enid in 1994. He was a member of the D.A.V., American Legion and Veterans of the Foreign War. He enjoyed treasure hunting with metal detectors. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Charles Leslie and Carl Lawrence; one sister, Lucille Ringwald; four brothers, Raymond, Jacob, Kenneth and Ronald. Ringwald is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Clifford and Calvin, both of Oklahoma City, and Clinton, Luther; daughter, Charlet of the home; eight brothers, Bennie, Ft. Worth, Texas, Bob and James of Guthrie, Gerald of Enid, Albert of Norman, Troy of Blanchard, Dennis of Purcell and Leroy of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Hazel Price of Salt Lake City, Utah, Joyce Ringwald of Duncan and Mary Jerome of Lahoma; five grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Eric, Leonard and Katrina; one great grandchild, Kayla; and several other relatives and friends.
