SCOTT Dearly beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2003. Born on July 9, 1920 in Enid, Oklahoma to H.M. and Sara Acre. Bette graduated from Enid High School in 1938 and attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She later attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She was married to Robert B. Hodges of Enid, Oklahoma in 1940. In 1981 she and Roy L. Scott of Oklahoma City were united in Marriage. Bette, lovingly known to some of her friends as BJ, was active as a docent in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, the Clubettes, the Compass Book Club, the Salvation Army Volunteers, and the Christian Women's Association. She was also an active member of Village United Methodist Church, where she served on several committees and did volunteer work. Bette cherished most in her life; her family, her loving friends her church and her service activities. Bette always had a beautiful smile, a loving heart and a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by her husband Roy L. Scott and family of Oklahoma City; her 5 children; her daughter, Denise Hunter, her family, and husband Cal of Rosburg, WA; her daughter, Dian Wilson and husband Bob of Kailua-Kona, HI; her son, Reed Hodges, wife Kathy and family of Portland, OR; her daughter, Robin Laughlin and family of Seaside, OR; her son Miles Hodges, wife Randi and family of Gresham, OR; as well as her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 at Village United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Village UMC, 2501 W. Britton Rd., OKC, OK 73120. CREMATION SOCIETY 1145 W.
