All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ENID NEWS & EAGLE 28 Feb 2002 PETER MARTIN (PETE) STORMS {PHOTO) The mass of Christian Burial for Peter Martin (Pete) Storms, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002 in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Enid, OK with the Rev. Ernest Flusche celebrating the Mass. Burial will be at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born March 18, 1913 in Cologne, Minn. To Henry and Agnes (Eiden) Storms. He died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, in North Little Rock, Ark. He came to Enid in 1933 and later established a dairy farm northwest of Goltry, OK. He married Faye Leone Knecht at St. Francis Xavier on Oct. 20, 1938. In 1946 they moved to another dairy farm on North Oakwood Road near Enid, and then to a farm south of Wellington, Kansas in 1951. In 1956 he formed a construction business and later ran a cabinet shop in Wellington. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wellington, a member of the knights of Columbus and a life member of the Elks. His last three years were spent in Little Rock, Ark. Near his daughter and son-in-law Rita and Larry. He is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) Semrad of Enid, OK, Mrs. Jerry (Mary Ann) Koehn of Fairview, OK, Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Stevens of Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Larry (Rita) Strickland of Sherwood, Ark., one son, Richard (Dana) Storms of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Louis of Paynesville, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, three brothers and three sisters. Memorial may be made to St. Joseph School, Our Daily Bread or St. Anthony’s Church in Wellington, Kansas. Henninger-Allen Funeral Home will serve as custodians of the funds.
