All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Highland Cemetery--Durant Ok Durant Daily Democrat - 4 Oct 2004 Mary Sue (Harth) Ward Mary Sue (Harth) Ward passed away in Durant peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2004, She was born on January 19, 1918, in Spivey, Kansas, and graduated from Drummond High School in Drummond, OK. In 1936, she married Melvin H. Harth in Alva, OK. They had four daughters, Susann Hull, Rosemary Laukka, Catherine J. Sarver, all of Durant, OK., and Melanie Craig, of Tulsa, OK. In 1957, she graduated from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and taught school at Wichita and Moorpark, CA., for 35 years. She was preceded in death by Melvin Harth, who passed away in August, 1977. She is survived by her husband Charles W. Ward of Durant, whom she married in 1983, her four daughters, her stepdaughter Karen Clift, stepson Calvin Ward, and grandchildren Ferrell Hull, of Choctaw, OK., Kim Ward, of Houston, Texas, Polly Craig of Virginia Beach, VA., Chris Tiffie and Colin Tiffie, both of Durant, OK., Cliff Tiffie, of Dillion, Montana, and Calvin Tiffie of Oklahoma City, OK., Libby Sarver and Alexandria Sarver both Durant, OK., and Steven Sarver, of Norman, OK., Jenna and Andrew Ward of California; step-grandchildren include Joel and Matthew Clift and Sarah Lajuenesse, of Los Angeles, CA.; great-grandchildren include Sarah Ward, Houston, Texas, Ashley Hull, Oklahoma City, OK., Justin Hull, Choctaw, OK., Sarah Lane Lingenfelter and Tyler J. Lingenfelter of Des Moines, Iowa, Jenna and Andrew Ward, Long Beach, CA., Thomas C. Tiffie, Durant, OK. She was a wonderful and very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Durant.
