George J.H. Zelle

CLOVIS, N. M. - George J.H. Zelle, 79, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with 
Chaplain David Park officiating. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. CDT 
Wednesday in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery at Perry, Okla. 

Mr. Zelle was born in Hayward, Okla. He was a glider pilot instructor at 
Fort Sumner, N. M., in 1941. He served in the Air Force for 30 years, 
retiring in 1971. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 
Post 3280. 

He married Helen Harkins in 1947 at Enid, Okla. She died in 1971. He 
married Dorothy Pierce in 1971.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Dewey Gale Pierce of Texico and 
Terry Pierce of Craig, Colo.; and a stepdaughter, Dona Kay Guy of Durango, 
Colo.
