He had been sick since January 13th and had received every medical attention and care. His remains will be dressed in citizen clothes and be given a Christian Burial in the Penitentiary Cemetery which is about a mile from the Penitentiary itself. His grave will be marked so that in case it should be the desire of his relatives and friends to have the remains sent home it can easily be located. If it is the desire of his relatives and friends that the remains be sent to them arrangements must be made with the nearest express agent by depositing enough money to cover both the undertaker’s charges and express charges and have the agent notify the express agent in Leavenworth, Kansas who will notify me. The undertaker’s charges will be about $25.00. the express agent can state what the express charges will be. Respectfully, R.W. McLaughry, Warden.
