Albright, 86, a longtime resident of Pauls Valley and formerly of Sulphur, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11 in the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Kanary and Rev. Larry Cornforth officiating. Burial was at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Born October 5, 1918 to Thomas C. and Bessie Jayne Albright at their home northwest of Sulphur, he died June 9 in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was a 1935 graduate of Sulphur High School. In 1940, he moved to Washington D.C. and worked in the Navy Enlisted Records Department until 1942. At that time he began serving in Naval Intelligence. After the war in 1945, he enrolled in Texas A & M University, eventually earning a Doctorate in Veterineray Medicine degree in 1950. He moved to Pauls Valley in 1951 and practiced veterinary medicine for 48 years before retiring in 1998. He married Opal Waggoner on June 27, 1942. Surviving are his wife, Opal, of the home; two daughters and their husbands, June and Darin Wilkins, Encinitas, Calif. and Judy and State Rep. Paul Wesselhoft, Moore; two sons, Dr. Tom Albright and his wife, Mary, Springdale, Ark. and John Albright, Las Vegas, Nev; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ms. Irene Fine, Oklahoma City and Nadine Adamo, Carrolton, Texas; four brothers, Tom Albright, Lake Dallas, Texas, Kirby Albright, Rockwall, Texas, Joe and June Albright, Sulphur and Ray Albright, Oklahoma City. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Garvin County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/garvin/garvin.html
