ALEXANDER A. ALEXANDER ENTERS INTO REST Funeral rites were held at the First Baptist church in Maysville Sunday afternoon for A. A. Alexander,53, who died Friday, February 4, 1949, in Pauls Valley Hospital. He had been ill about a month. Rev. Guy Bradley, pastor of the church, conducted the service. Burial was in Maysville cemetery under direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home. Allen A. Alexander was born in Hunt County, Texas, January 31, 1896. He came to Oklahoma with his parents in 1909, and lived in this community since that time. He united with the Baptist church at the age of 16. On December 24, 1917, he united in marriage with Miss Cora Smith, to which union was born 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters, two sons preceding him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Alexander, and the following children; Olen, of Mablevale,Ark; Mrs. Oralene Mullins, Tucumcari, NM; Mrs. Lou Dotson, Majestic, KY; Mrs. Ruby Minyen, Charles Alexander, and Pauline Alexander, or Wayne. The children were all present at the funeral except Mrs. Dotson. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Eldora Alexander, Maysville; four sister, Mrs. Ethel McElmurry, Maysville; Mrs. Myrtle Gann, Woodward; Mrs. Omalee Boyer, Pauls Valley; and Mrs. Ruth Mantooth, Lindsay; one brother Kyle Alexander, Seattle, Wash. All the sisters were present, but Kyle was not able to attend the service. Although the time must surely come When loved ones have to part, And your departure now has laid A shadow upon our heart; But we are sure we will meet again On that far distant shore Where, all the grief of parting past, The sun will shine once more.
