She was born October 9, 1899 in McCurtain County and was proceeded in death by her husband in 1949. They had farmed north of Maysville on the site of the new Maysville Wiley Post Memorial Lake until retirement when she moved into town. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the First Baptist church, and services were held there Saturday at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. Gerald Cox officiating. Burial was in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Winans Funeral Home. Survivors include daughters; Mrs. Ora Mullens of Springer, New Mexico, Mrs. Lula Dodson of Independence, Missouri, Mrs. Ruby Minyen of Sublett, Kansas, and Mrs. Pauline Travis of Guam. One son Charles Alexander of Wynnewood, Okla. One sister, Mattie McCabe, and one brother, Jack Smith of Constantine, Michigan. Eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
