Baker, 88, died Friday, April 18, 1997. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at East Mound Cemetery with the Rev. Rickey Lawrence, pastor of Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Baker was born in Wynnewood, Okla. He married Mary Ruth Bollinger in 1930 at Pauls Valley, Okla. Mr. Baker was a retired farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He had been a Motley County resident since 1949. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Durrell Baker of Lubbock, Kenneth Baker of Sweetwater and Morgan Baker of Lubbock; four daughters, La Von Simpson and Mary Marshall, both of Matador, Faye Mead of Wolfforth and Thelma Baker of Plainview; a brother, J.B. Baker of Choctaw, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; and 34 grandchildren.
