Dale 'Johnny' Beckham Dale 'Johnny' Beckham, 72, of Lindsay passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at his home in Foster. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Erin Springs First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Love and the Rev. Johnny Beckham officiating. Graveside services will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home. Dale was born on Oct. 7, 1930, in Foss to Vergel and Ollie Beckham. He married Mary Beckham on Oct. 7, 1955. in Lindsay. Dale served in the Marines during the Korean War and was a member of Erin Springs First Baptist Church and the Rodeo Cowboy Alumni. He spent most of his life working in the rodeo. He also enjoyed breaking and training horses and braiding ropes, belts and halters. Dale also loved to play the guitar and to sing ballads. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beckham of the home; his children, Jimmy Beckham and his wife Sherrie, Dana Heatly and husband Danny, and Johnny Beckham; grandchildren, Kristi Adkins, Jordan Heatly and Taylor Heatly; two great-grandchildren Blake and Khayl Adkins; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; siblings Polly Van Alstine, Paul Beckham, Lee Beckham, Warren Beckham, Josephine Stewart, Ruth Smith and Theta Roehm; and a grandson Austin Beckham. Pallbearers will be Wayne Yandell, Brownie Brennan, Jack Ince, Red Watson, Gary Krug and Sam English.
