All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Laflin Creek Cemetery--Alex OK B G Boydston Funeral Home Lindsay OK Nancy Lorene Brown August 30, 1916 - August 17,2005 Nancy “Lorene” Brown passed away on August 17, 2005 at the age of 88 just missing her 89th birthday by two weeks. She was born on August 30, 1916 to James Mitchell and Rosa Lou Hollis Adair, in their home at Alex, Oklahoma, just north of the Laflin Cemetery. She has been a life time resident of Lindsay and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay for 48 years. Lorene was a retired cafeteria worker at the Lindsay Schools and a retired nurse’s aid at the Maysville and Lindsay Nursing Homes. She enjoyed working, spending time with her family, and belonging to the Garvin County Home Demonstration Club in her younger years. Some of her favorite activities were reading the scripture and sight seeing. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bernie Beam, her second husband, of 53 years W. J. “JAP” William Jasper Brown, and her three brothers and two sisters. Lorene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosa Lou and Allen Stein, of Mascoutah, Illinois, son and daughter-in-law Charles Lee and Karen Beam, of Dean, Texas, Mary Brown of the home, son and daughter-in-law, James and Dian Brown of Lindsay, OK. She is also survived by seven grandsons, Mike Stein, Jason Stein, Chuck Beam, Rusty Beam, Lee Beam, Brian Beam and Austin Brown, and two granddaughters, Renee Stein, and Jessica Brown, six great grand- daughters, six great-grandsons, two great step grandsons, one great- great granddaughter. Services for Ms. Brown will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK on August 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Laflin Creek Cemetery in Alex, Oklahoma. Funeral services are under the arrangement of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home.
