Flora Mae Elmore Burgess was born February 22, 1910 to Mary Ann Loduska
Auldridge and William Monroe Elmore in the Stratford, Oklahoma area.

She married Daniel Burgess on March 9, 1926, in the chambers of Judge Lowery
in Henryetta, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born: Geneva Mae
Harris, Maxine Thompson, Wanda Joe Burgess and Dan David Burgess, all of
Henryetta; five grandchildren: Randy Dale Thompson, Jennifer Ann Mitchell,
Ricky Dana Thompson, Robert Darryl Harris and Danny Burgess, deceased; nine
great grandchildren: Stephanie Cumpton, Stacy Matray, Christopher Mitchell,
Brandi Thompson, Travis Thompson, Amber Stricklin, Tiffany Harris, Reid
Thompson, and John Harris; five great-great grandchildren: Carlie Cumpton,
Mackenzie Matray, Jackson Cumpton, Mason Matray, and Kiya Mitchell and a host
of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a husband, sister, brother and
grandson.

Services will be Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10 A.M. at the Church of Christ in
Henryetta, followed by interment at the Salt Creek Cemetery. Services are
under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
