‘Son’ Burleson taken by death

Aaron David “Son” Burleson, 70, retired Garvin county farmer, died at 12:30
a.m. Tuesday at N. H. Lindsey Memorial hospital in Pauls Valley.

He had lived in the county the last 30 years, and was a resident of 320 East
Avenue at time of death. Burleson was born Oct. 19,  1891 in Texas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stufflebean Funeral Home
chapel with Rev. B. M. McCarty of the Assembly of God church officiating.
Burial was at McGee cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of the home, six daughters, Miss Ruth
Burleson of the home, Mrs. James Warren, Mrs. Leonard Warren and Mrs. Dawson
Jarman, all of Pauls Valley, Mrs. Buster Musgrove of Ada and Mrs. J. R. Long
of Sulphur; three sons, Ted and Joe, both of Pauls Valley and Delbert of Hot
Springs, Ark., two brothers, Frank Burleson and John Burleson, both of
Stratford, two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Crockett of Tuttle and Mrs. Frances Wood
of Oklahoma City, 18 grandchildren and one great grandaugher.
