Butler Graveside services for Wesley D. Butler, 79, Pauls Valley, were held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the East Hill Cemetery in Roff with Russell Newville officiating. Services were under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com. Born December 11, 1925 in Plaindealing, La. to Grover C. and Lillie (Satterfield) Butler, he died Thursday, June 30. He was raised in the Texas and Arkansas areas and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roff. He was also a member of the Brick Layers and Masons Union and was a 32nd degree Mason, an organization he had been a member of since 1961. He served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes and bingo with his friends. He is survived by two sons, James E. Butler and his wife, Myrna, Stockton, Calif. and David W. Butler, Pauls Valley; three daughters, Melinda Filbeck and her husband, Jim, Ada, Paul J. Harrison and husband, Steve, Nowata and Debbie M Butler, Pauls Valley; one brother, J. L. Satterfield and wife, Elizabeth, Daingerfield, Texas; one sister, Juanita Gilbert and husband, Dale, Pauls Valley; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
