Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of her life Saturday, August 15, 2007 at Worley- Lugingbuel Funeral home at 711 S. Main in Grove, OK at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601. DeLena was born to Frank and Ollie (Nix) Conway on June 26, 1923 at Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma where they lived for several years. It was there she met her future husband Paul Casady whom she married December 22, 1940. He died September 2, 1997. To this union two sons were born, John T. Casady and Mithcell F. Casady. Mick died July 30, 2001. DeLena was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and a partner with her husband in farming, oil production and custom oil well drilling. She was active in her church and many clubs and organizations. She believed in giving back to her community some of the good things she had, hoping to make a better place. She was a member of First Christian Church Bible study class, Gospel Gals of Grove and several bridge clubs. Also she was an active member of Republican Women's Club and the Women of the Moose. She served her community wherever she was needed, organizing fashion shows, suppers, bake sales, cookouts and voters polling booths. She is survived by her son, John (Terry) Casasy and his wife Joy of Wellsville, KS, daughter-in-law Pam (Casady) Leitnaker and her husband Tom of Ottawa, KS; grandsons, Clay Edward Casady and wife Ashley of Bentonville, AR and John Earl Casady of Ottawa, KS. Also surviving are brothers, Bill Conway and wife Marilyn, Jim Conway, Charles (Choc) Conway and wife Gail, and sister Martha Jo Musgrove, Mertie McKee and husband Shannon, Sharion Cooper and husband Ray, Peggy Luckett and husband Jim and a host of nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom she loved dearly. She was devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a loving aunt to her husband's nephews Lee Dean and wife Stephanie and Roger Dean and wife Betty and their children and grandchildren. DeLena made friends wherever she went, sometimes in the checkout line at the store. She was an up beat person, who always enjoyed nature's beauty God created. She loved to grow beautiful flowers and many people driving by often stopped to thank her fore the beautiful colors.
