Helen Clayton

January 28, 1928 - July 31, 2005

Helen Clayton of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed away on July 31, 2005. She 
was born on January 28, 1928 in Konawa, OK to Alex and Ginny Douglas. 
Helen was a retired housekeeper at Deaconess Hospital and moved to 
Lindsay in 1999. She married Rubin Clayton in Canadian, Texas on 
October 31, 1976.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and 
one grandchild, Angela Thompson.

Helen is survived by her husband, ten children; Linda Hollis, of 
Oklahoma City, Ruby Douglas, of Konawa, OK, Ronnie Akerman, of 
Lindsay, OK, Carole Fair, of Oklahoma City, Jean Hartley, Lindsay, 
OK, Rick Akerman, of Norman, Oklahoma, Vickie Wright, of Oklahoma 
City, Steve Akerman, of Purcell, OK, Laura Akerman, and Sandra 
Dutton, of Lindsay, OK; 33 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren; 
two brothers, Walter Wise and W. B. Douglas, one sister, Agness West.

Memorial services for Helen are set for Wednesday, August 3, 2004 at 
10:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the Clayton family online at

Services arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston 
Funeral Home.
