She was born Shirley Ann Dutton on June 1, 1943 to Thelma and Henry Dutton in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She married Claudie M. Dennis at the Courthouse in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on October 3, 1966. She lived in and around Lindsay most of her life. Shirley had been one of Jehovah's Witness for 34 years and enjoyed talking to other people about the Bible. She took pleasure in her flowers and taking care of them. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother-in-law, Joe Stanley, and one sister-in-law Molly Dutton. She is survived by her husband, Claudie Dennis, her son, Kirt Dennis and wife, Marilyn, of Austin, Texas, two grand children, August and Desiree. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Donna Chote and husband, Terry, three grandsons, Dusty, Kyle, and Chris, three brothers and their wives, Herbert and Wanda Dutton, David and Sue Dutton, and Henry Wayne and Sharon Dutton, four sisters and their husbands, Addie and Jim Yarbrough, Lindsay, Ok, Phyllis and Alfred Ivy, Elk City, Ok, Gayla and Larry Rouse, Lindsay, Ok, Fern and Sam Taylor, Lindsay, OK. Services for Shirley will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., February 23,, 2005 at the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Starkey officiating. Interment will be at the Erin Springs cemetery and Pallbearers will include: Steve Emerick, John Hughes, Steve Ivy, Gary Ivy, Kevin Shaffer, and Thomas Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Hale and John Emerick. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home.
