All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Mt Olivet Cemetery--Pauls Valley OK PAULS VALLEY DAILY DEMOCRAT SEPTEMBER 6, 1963 VELMA DUNN, LONG TIME COUNTY AGENT AIDE, DIES Miss Velma Dorothy Dunn, 59, a native of Pauls Valley, died of a heart attack at her home at 128 North Pear at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. She had worked Thursday at the county agents' office in the courthouse and had been apparently feeling all right. She was stricken suddenly after returning home from grocery shopping. Miss Dunn had served as extension service clerk to the county home demonstration agents the last 30 years. She probably knew as many or more people than anyone else in Garvin County. Miss Dunn was past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star of which she has been a member for many years. She was past president of the Pauls Valley Art Club and was currently serving as president of the Past Matrons Club. The county agents office was closed all day Friday out of respect to Miss Dunn. She was born Sept. 3, 1904 in Pauls Valley and lived her all he life. She was a member of the First Baptist church. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Saturday in the Stufflebean Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Hale A. Dixon officiating. Burial will be Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Carl Ballard, Sr., of Pauls Valley and Mrs. Fred H. Engelhardt of Dallas, and two brothers Connolly H. Dunn of Pauls Valley, and Yates S.
