All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Green Hill Cemetery--Lindsay OK B G Boydston Funeral Home Lindsay OK Ouida Vinita Gordon March 2, 1912 Ouida was born March 2, 1912 to John and Minnie Eatmon, and lived in the Lindsay area all of her life time. She attended Hughes, See Chapel and Lindsay Schools. She married Bill Gordon in October 1928, and had two children, Leon and Norma Fay. They built a home and farmed southwest of Lindsay. Ouida loved to teach Bible classes to the children and made most of her teaching aids. She also worked with World Bible School for many years until her right eye failed. She helped with the clothing Room Project and helped make quilts for the needy. She went to Beauty School and had her own shop in her home for many years. One of her hobbies was working with ceramics and had her own kiln. Ouida was blessed with grandchildren, Deborah, Doug, Leigh Ann and Seth Gordon, all from Tennessee, Phillip McDaniel, from Grande Prairie, Texas, Linda McDaniel, from Memphis Tennessee, Glen McDaniel, from Bradley, Oklahoma, her great-grandchildren included, Lisa and Sean McDaniel, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tanilla McDaniel, of Fort Huachusa, Arizona and Carla Balido from England, also a daughter-in-law, Jean Gordon, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews, a host of friends and brothers and sisters in Christ in Lindsay. Ouida is preceded in death by her husband; Bill, her son Leon and her son-in-law, Erwin McDaniel, her parents, John and Minnie Eatmon, five brothers, Jewel, Norvel, Boss, Wes, and Tip Eatmon, three sisters, Ruby, Ola and Alma, and a daughter-in-law Virginia Gordon. Services for Ouida will be held at the Church of Christ (Hwy 19 west), Lindsay, OK on August 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the Gordon family online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com.
