All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Green Hill Cemetery--Lindsay OK B G Boydston Funeral Home Lindsay OK Vernon Dale Gray May 8, 1942 - October 31, 2005 Vernon Dale Gray passed away on October 31, 2005 at the age of 63. He was born on May 8, 1942 to Oscar Douglas Gray and Lily Mae Malone Gray in Rich Mountain, Arkansas. Vernon was a welder and oilfield worker for many years. He was a member of the Erin springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed doing mechanic work and working with old pick-ups. He had been a Seaman E-2 in the U. S. Navy. Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, April Dawn Gray, two brothers, Billy Gene Gray and Richard Gray. He is survived by Doug and Ruby Gray of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Virgil and Sandy Gray of Noble, Oklahoma, Bill and Shirley Gray of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Louis and Clara Gray of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Delbert and Doris Gray of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Bobby and Cody Gray of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Don and Sherry Gray, of Henderville, Tennessee. He is also survived by three sisters, Wanda and Lonnie Gillean of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Shirley Danley of Norman, Oklahoma, Barbara and Kent Graham of Goldsby, Oklahoma. Services for Vernon are scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, Erin Springs, Oklahoma. Interment will be at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma. In honor of Vernon’s military service the Lindsay American Legion will present the American Flag, play Taps and conduct a 21 gun salute. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home.
