All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Mount Olivet Cemetery--Ft Worth TX Herron, Claude Rush Claude Rush Herron, 86, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2006. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Viewing: noon to 7 p.m. Friday. Claude Rush Herron was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Katie, Okla. He grew up on the family farm. He entered the U.S. Army and then served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Afterward he ended up in the Fort Worth area and lived there until shortly before his death. Claude was a loving brother and uncle. For many years, his best friends and companion were Sampson and Shasta, his parrots. Claude retired from General Dynamics. He remained busy with his gardening and building things with wood. He also loved to collect and restore old cars. The family wishes to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for its loving care of Claude. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and, most of, all his beloved only child, Gail. Survivors: He leaves behind a brother, Floyd Herron and wife, Virginia; many nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him very much.
