All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hillcrest Cemetery--Porterville CA Hicks, Stella Mae Collier 1914 - 2005 Stella Mae Collier Hicks May 8, 1914 Nov. 24, 2005 Stella Collier Hicks was born in Stratford, Oklahoma in 1914 to George W. and Effie J. Barnes. She passed away on November 24, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James F. Collier, in 1990. Stella was a past president and member of the Porterville Garden Club, a Master flower arranger and flower show judge. She moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1994 and married W.E. Jack Hicks in 1998. They were members of the Church of Christ in both Porterville and Bakersfield. Stella is survived by husband, Jack Hicks; and her three children, James Collier and wife, Judy of Bakersfield, Sherril Stubblefield and husband, Jerry of Bakersfield, and Patrick Collier and wife, Nikki of Eureka, CA; seven grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; Jacks children, Nancy Costa of Porterville and Ann Smart of Bakersfield; brothers, Ben Barnes, Sam Barnes and Gene Barnes; sisters, Gladys McKinley, Catherine Anderson and Maureen Barnes. Viewing will be Tuesday, November 29, 2005, from 2-7 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home in Porterville, CA. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Cemetery in Porterville. She will be deeply missed by her family & friends. We Love You Nana!
