Born on January 5, 1929 in Lindsey, OK, she came to California at the age of 12. Alma graduated from Edison High School, retired from Stockton Unified School District with 28 years as a cafeteria manager. She was an active member of Stockton Covenant Church, a volunteer at the American Cancer Society Discover Shop and loved spending time with family and friends. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Steven U. Hill and brother, Lonnie Bennett. She is survived by her children, Sandi (Don) Rostomily of Lodi and Steven (Barbara) Hill of Stockton. Grandmother of Teri (Dustin) Smith of Fresno, Tami (Corbin) Emslie of Lodi, Chris (Irene) Hill of Stockton and Casey (Angie) Hill of Modesto. Great- grandmother of Maurena Michele Emslie. Sister of Bob (Maryann) Bennett of Stockton. Sister-in-law of Carolyn Bennett of Stockton, Jimmy (Carolyn) Hill of Manteca and Wendell (Laverne) Hill of Stockton. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions to the Stockton Covenant Church Building Fund, 1720 Oxford Way, Stockton, 95204 are preferred.
