Hughes, Odis Marion

Visitation for Odis Marion Hughes will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles Street) on Sunday, March 19, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. 
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday 
morning, March 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ken Armstrong will 
officiate. Odis was born September 28, 1917 in Stratford, Oklahoma 
the eldest of seven children and he passed away March 13, 2006 in 
Bakersfield, California. Odis is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel 
and his daughter, Verla Frazier. Left to mourn his passing are his 
son and daughter-in-law, Odis Jr. and Shirley Hughes; son, Albert 
Hughes and his fiance Sharon Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, 
Darla and Greg Hoeper all of Bakersfield; daughter and son-in-law, 
Anna and Ronnie Welch of Konowa, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 36 
great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and 
Leon; sisters, Geraldine, Imogene and Pauline. Dad and Mom had 65 
wonderful years together. Dad we long for the day when we hear you 
say once again, "Jesus Christ" your standard comment be it for 
something good or bad. We miss you and Mom. You're gone but you will
