J. H. Ivy, Early Day Pastor ------------------------------ Rev. M. Rolla Grimm, Former Christian Pastor Officiates ------------------------------------- Funeral sevices were held this afternoon for Rev. J.H. Ivy, 80 year old early day minister of Pauls Valley, who died Wednesday afternoon at the family home here. Rev. M. Rolla Grimm, former pastor of the First Christian Church of this city, now of Hobart, officiated at the servies. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Rev. Ivy came to Oklahoma in 1897 and was one of the organizers and builders of the First Christian church erected in this city. He was a native of Georgia. Pall bearers at the services were: W. D. Austin, L.L. Hamilton, Frank Mathies, Harry Hamilton, A. C. Crossfield, and Roy Miler. Surviving are the wife, Nona; five sons, S.N. and W. S. Ivy of St. Johns, Kan., Oscar of Pauls Valley and Collie and Cecil of Wynnewood; four daughters, Mrs. Elbert Campbell of Pauls Valley, Mrs. Lee Smith of Ada, Mrs. Dave White of Elmore City and Mrs. Geneva Branstetter of Pauls Valley.
