E. Johnson, 51 year old city man who died Friday afternoon at the local hospital after a long illness. He had been a resident of Pauls Valley most of his life, coming here when seven years old. Rev. George W. Caughran, pastor of the church, of which Mr. Johnson was a deacon, officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery under direction of the Stufflebean Funeral directors. Mr. Johnson had been a member of the Christian church here since he was 30 years old. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Johnson, two sons, Roy of the home address, and Eldon, of Orville, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Callaway Howerton of Lindsay and Mrs. Lorena Etheridge, Pauls Valley; his mother, Mrs Julia Johson of the home address, a twin brother, Edgar, of Pauls Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Price of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Nellie Price of Pauls Valley and Mrs. W. B. Smith of Kilgore, Texas and six grandchildren.
