All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery--Miami FL Last, Dorothy Leon DOROTHY LEON LAST AUG. 15, 1911 - DEC. 8, 2006 Dorothy Leon Last passed away on December 8, 2006 at English Oaks Convalescence Hospital in Modesto, California. She was born in Foster, Oklahoma on August 15, 1911 to Gilbert Hodges and Mina Childs-Hodges. She moved to Modesto in 1978 from Pompano Beach, Florida, where she and her husband, Dr. Harry Last retired to in 1966. Her husband practiced medicine in Leon, Kansas for 30 years prior to their retirement. Dorothy was proud of her nursing career, which provided her the opportunity to work with Dr. Last over the years. She was very involved in the community of Leon, especially in her Church. Dorothy loved visiting family and traveling the world. No one enjoyed holidays more than she. She was preceded in death by Dr. Last who passed in 1978. She is survived by her brother Buster S. Hodges and his wife Grace, of Redding, California; her nephew Stanley L. Hodges and his wife Joyce, their children Kristin Hodges and daughter; Kari Harris her husband Toby and their daughter all of Modesto; her niece Sandra L. Tincher of Redding, her children Scott Tincher and wife Teresa of Yuma, Arizona; Beth Alanis her husband Ralph and their two children of Sacramento; Chris Tincher his wife Hazel and their two children of Coalinga, California. Additionally, she is survived by her God-son John Luttrell and his wife Thelma of Darien, Conn., their children John Lutrell his wife Judy and their two children of Rancho Santa Margarita; Denise Luttrell of Ward, Colorado, and Stephen Luttrell his wife Michelle, and their three children of Darien, Conn. In keeping with her Choctaw heritage, a memorial will be held in Florida six months after her passing. She will be laid to rest at Lakeside Memorial Park in Miami, Florida where her husband rests.
