McClure Married Mr. John A. McClure went to Weatherford, Texas, last week, where he was married to Mrs. Anna Davis, returning to Pauls Valley on Friday night, to receive the congratulations of hosts of friends. They will make a trip to Arkansas a little later. Following is an account of the wedding from the Weatherford Hearld: The wedding of Mrs. Anna Dinsmore Davis and Mr. John A. McClure, which took place at the Seminary last Monday morning, was one of the prettiest, quiet home weddings seen in Weatherford for many a month. Only relatives and a very few special friends had been invited to be present and it was a happy expectant group that was gathered in the parolor, when Miss Bess Stephens began the wedding march, from Lohengrin, to the beautiful notes of which the bride and bridegroom entered from the rear parlor, preceded by Mr. and Mrs. Lawhon of Dallas, their only attendants. In the alcove of the front parlor was standing the minister, Rev. George M. Oakley, who, in solemn words, impressive and beautiful, said the marriage ceremony and made them man and wife. After the ceremony, an elegantly prepared and delightful course breakfast was served in the dining-room, given as a compliment by the grooms sister, Miss Elizabeth McClure, president of the Seminary. Mr. ad Mrs. McClure left this afternoon for Mineral Wells, from where, after a few days stay, they to the coast, after which they will go to Pauls Valley where they will make their home. The bride is a woman of much culture and refinement and during her two years stay in this city, has made many warm and true friends. The groom is a leading attorney of Pauls Valley and highly esteemed by all who know him.
